Professor Peter Isaacson is an internationally recognised authority on the pathology and classification of malignant lymphoma. In the course of defining several new malignant lymphoma entities, he discovered the causal association between Helicobacter pylori and gastric lymphoma, which led to the successful treatment of gastric lymphoma by the eradication of H. pylori with antibiotics.
