Philipp Kukura develops and applies novel methodologies based on light scattering to study biomolecular structure, interactions and dynamics.
Together with his collaborators, he introduced mass photometry, an approach to measure the mass of single biomolecules and their complexes in solution. He has led efforts to broaden access to the technology as one of the founders of Refeyn Ltd., which has enabled the use of mass photometry across the life sciences in both academia and industry.
Philipp's work has been recoginzed by a number of awards, including the Klung-Wilhelmy Science Award, the Blavatnik Award, the Emil Thomas Kaiser Award and the Tel Aviv University International Prize in Biophysics.
