Research summary

I am currently based at Lancaster University working to couple single quantum dots to a two-dimensional system; the goal is to make trivial the process of reading and writing charge-encoded information stored by the dots. In this project GaSb dots are embedded in GaAs; this combination promises both scalability and room-temperature operation, two key properties lacking in most quantum dot systems.
