Steve Schneider is Professor of Security in the Department of Computer Science, and Director of the Surrey Centre for Cyber Security, at the University of Surrey.
His research interests lie in the areas of computer security and in formal modeling and verification. His work on secure electronic voting over the past decade led to the development of a verifiable voting system assuring vote privacy and ballot integrity, which was used in the November 2014 State election in the State of Victoria, Australia. He is also working in resilience and robustness in critical computer systems, in data privacy and anonymity, in the security of complex systems of interacting agents.
