Research Fellow

University College London

Research summary

Primary research interest is in the dynamics of ionosphere, in particular ionospheric perturbations like gravity waves/traveling ionospheric disturbances (TIDs) and enhancements. I am also interested in the magnetosphere-ionosphere coupling (e.g. neutral winds) and space weather (e.g. geomagnetic storms) as drivers of ionospheric disturbances. I mainly use GPS and high frequency (HF) radars (such as ionosondes and HF Doppler system) for my research. In collaboration with Dr Anasuya Aruliah from Univesity College London, I aim to initiate thermospheric neutral wind observations in South Africa in order to study vertical coupling processes.
