Science, complexity and the nature of existence
By George Ellis University of Cape
Town The complexity of life and the human mind is based on fundamental physics. In discussing the main features of complexity, George Ellis of the University of Cape Town and winner of the 2004 Templeton Prize, will argue that a view of the multiple natures of existence is one which has much to tell us about the philosophical underpinnings of physics and chemistry.
The first in a series of lectures on the nature of human knowledge and understanding supported by a grant from the John Templeton Foundation.
