Overview

The Royal Society is holding a South Africa Day on Monday, 30 & Tuesday, 31 January 2006.  This event aims to showcase the excellent science in South Africa and to stimulate closer links between South African and UK scientists.

We will be bringing together leading UK and South African scientists in the fields of biotechnology and infectious diseases; energy and climate change; and advanced materials.

We expect this event to raise the awareness in South African and UK scientific communities of opportunities to collaborate and funding mechanisms to support this collaboration.  Furthermore, it will be an outstanding opportunity for leading South African and UK scientists to network with each other.

Registration has now closed. A written record of the main discussions will be made available in due course. Please check this Website for updates at a later date.
