What if...? Coping with uncertainty in health science
Panel discussion involving Tracey Brown, Professor Angela McLean FRS, Professor Andrew Stirling and chaired by Professor David Spiegelhalter OBE FRS
How can we make decisions that affect our health when scientific advice is never 100% sure? What effect will our behaviour really have on our future lives, what benefit will a public health intervention have, and how should new technologies be governed to ensure consumer safety? This panel discussion will bring together experts from various fields to discuss how individuals and government can best cope with inevitable uncertainty and disagreement about the underlying biomedical science.
