Survivors: the animals and plants that time has left behind

14 June 2012 14:15 - 15:15

Public lecture by Dr Richard Fortey FRS

Event details

Dr Richard Fortey is Merit Researcher Invertebrate Palaeo at the Natural History Museum, London.

The history of life on Earth is far older – and far odder – than many of us realise. Take a fascinating look at evolution, not through fossil records but through the variety of extraordinary organisms that have survived nearly unchanged for hundreds of millions of years. With material based on his recent book and BBC series, geologist, palaeontologist and Royal Society Fellow Richard Fortey is your guide.
