Overview

Café Scientifique with Dr Giandomenico Iannetti as part of the 2012 Royal Society Summer Science Exhibition

Event details

Why do some people feel pain more acutely than others? What’s going on inside our brains and bodies when we experience a painful sensation? Dr Giandomenico Iannetti will guide us through the neurophysiology of our sensory systems, and show us how current techniques of investigating touch and pain can be beneficial to us in the future.

Dr Giandomenico Iannetti is a Royal Society University Research Fellow in the Department of Neuroscience, Physiology and Pharmacology at University College London.
