Drawing dinosaurs

25 October 2014 11:00 - 17:00

If you could be a dinosaur, what would you look like? Tail of a stegosaurus, head of a T-Rex?

In this hands-on activity, children mix-and-match parts of dinosaurs to create their own imagined creature. Palaeontologist Edine Pape will be on hand to talk to them through the science of their creations.

Then, the beasts come to life as artist James McKay creates one-of-a-kind paintings for children to take home. The paintings are finished off with a unique Latin species and genus based on the child's name.

Part of the Big Draw: Drawing science.
