See artwork inspired by the symmetry in crystals and their X-ray diffraction patterns.
The art in this exhibition has been created as part of an ongoing collaboration between crystallographer Professor Brian Sutton of King’s College London and glass artist Shelley James.
The year 2014 has been designated the International Year of Crystallography to celebrate a number of milestones since the technique was first discovered through the work of Max von Laue in Germany, and father and son William Henry and William Lawrence Bragg in England, just over 100 years ago.
