The secret life of crystals

03 July 2015 18:00 - 19:00

A public talk on crystals and their uses as part of the Royal Society Summer Science Exhibition 2015.

Crystals are everywhere around us: in phones and computers, cars and buses, in rocks, plants and animals, in your body, your medicines and your food. In this audience-led talk from Shelly Moram, Imperial College London, we will explore our way around the everyday magic of these fascinating atomic structures which lie within almost everything we use in our daily lives.

Dr Shelly Moram is a Royal Society University Research Fellow in the Department of Materials at Imperial College London.
