Beyond quantum many-body chaos: constrained dynamics and non-equilibrium phases of matter

Scientific meeting

Location

Kavli Royal Society Centre, Chicheley Hall, Newport Pagnell, Buckinghamshire, MK16 9JJ

Overview

Satellite meeting organised by Dr Zlatko Papic, Professor Juan Garrahan, Professor Jonathan Keating, Dr Mike Blake and Dr Achilleas Lazarides.

The Royal Society at Chicheley Hall, home of the Kavli Royal Society International Centre

Chaos leads to thermalisation and the inevitable destruction of order. This Satellite meeting will highlight recent progress in physics beyond quantum chaos, where ergodicity breaking gives rise to novel dynamical phenomena and ordered phases of matter. The meeting will feature focused sessions on the dynamics of glasses, lattice gauge theories, and out-of-equilibrium phases of matter such as time crystals.

More information about the schedule of talks and speaker biographies will be available soon. Speaker abstracts will be available closer to the meeting date. Recorded audio of the presentations will be available on this page after the meeting has taken place.
