Anniversary Day 2023
A day to celebrate the founding of the Royal Society. The event comprises business meetings and an opportunity to note scientific highlights of the previous year.
Anniversary Meeting
The annual Anniversary Day will be held on Thursday 30 November and comprises two sessions.
The first session, the closed meeting, will begin at 3pm and will be for Fellows and Foreign Members only. It will include discussion of the Trustees’ Report and Financial Statements for the year ended 31 March 2023. Papers for the meeting will be circulated approximately two weeks before the day itself.
The second, the open meeting, will begin at 5pm and will be an open session for Fellows, Foreign Members, medallists, and guests. It will include the President’s Address and the Executive Director’s review of the year.
Anniversary Reception
Following the open meeting, each Fellow and Foreign Member is cordially invited to attend the Anniversary Reception, with a guest if they wish. The reception begins at 6.30pm with carriages at 9pm and there will be informal entertainment with a buffet supper. The dress code is lounge suit/day dress and the cost of the evening is £33.50 per person. Tickets can be purchased by clicking on the "Book event" tab at the top of this page.
