BSL guided tours of the exhibition

06 July 2024 10:00 - 13:00 The Royal Society Free

This event is part of the Royal Society's Summer Science Exhibition 2024.

Experience the Summer Science Exhibition with a British Sign Language (BSL) tour of the main exhibits and a selection of the drop-in activities. The tour will begin in the Marble Hall, by the welcome desk, where you will meet the interpreters and your fellow tour attendees. You will then be shown around the 14 main exhibits, with an opportunity to explore the very latest advances in science and meet the scientists shaping the future.

The pace of each tour will be led by the group and is flexible dependent on the attendees’ interests. Please let your interpreter know if you have preferences at the beginning of your tour.

Spaces are limited for these free tours, at a maximum at 15 people per tour, and registration is required via Eventbrite for those who wish to attend. Family members and friends who are hearing are welcome to join the tour too but should not register a place. Children must be accompanied.

As well as the exhibits, there will be talks held too. The majority of these talks will be recorded with live subtitles in person and virtually, for attendees who are interested, as well as available to watch online at a later date.

The first tour will be held between 10am - 11.20am and the second tour will be between 11.40am - 1pm.

If you have any questions, would like to attend Summer Science at a different time or are looking for accessibility support, please contact diversity@royalsociety.org.
