Activity: Commoditree - modern life doesn’t grow on trees
This event is part of the Royal Society's Summer Science Exhibition 2024.
This year, the entrance to the Summer Science Exhibition will feature the British Geological Survey's "Commoditree". This interactive display will introduce you to the critical minerals we rely on every day, looking at the process of how they get from the ground to our homes and their vital role in the shift towards a green economy.
Explore the tree and its branches filled with these essential minerals and join the conversation on how our actions and choices can make a difference. You'll also have the chance to make a positive pledge on a leaf and hang it on the tree to share your ideas throughout the day.
