Talk: Quantum: for you, with you

04 July 2025 14:00 - 14:30 The Royal Society Free Watch online

This event is part of the Royal Society's Summer Science Exhibition 2025.

Quantum technology is set to underpin life and society as we know it; whether it's quantum-based magneto-cardiograms for the medics, quantum-encrypted networks for finance, or quantum machine learning for literally anything. The National Quantum Computing Centre has teamed up with the Quantum Hubs to uncover the world-class research and innovation going on in The Quantum Zone here at the exhibition.

In this talk, Dr Yashna Lekhai will guide you through the main technologies and how the cutting edge of physics research needs a whole lot more people than physicist and how the applications extend well beyond a lab.
