Screening and Q&A: Disability technology

This event is part of the Royal Society's Summer Science Exhibition 2025.
Disabled people are often early users of new technologies but are frequently left out of conversations about design. The Royal Society’s new policy report ‘Disability Technology’ explores the benefits and challenges of inclusive design and adoption of digital assistive technologies. A short film was commissioned as part of this project to showcase the day-to-day experiences of disabled users of digital assistive technologies.
Join us for this short film screening on digital assistive technologies followed by a Q&A with the film director Justin Edgar and actor Keron Day. Learn more about how disabled people use digital assistive technologies, such as AI assistants, eye-tracking devices and smartphones, in their daily lives.
