Tea ceremony

02 July 2025 11:00 - 11:30 The Royal Society Free

This event is part of the Royal Society's Summer Science Exhibition 2025.

Join us for a tea ceremony experience that connects ancient tradition with cutting-edge science. Guided by Yukako Tanaka, the ceremony explores the stunning interactions between light and colour, offering a moment in the spirit of Dō, the Japanese way of mindful practice.

This experience introduces MetaDō, a deeper appreciation of metamaterials, the artificial nanomaterials at the heart of the NanoGlow exhibit.
