My research aims to help understand and predict changes in the distribution of biological diversity on Earth , to better inform environmental management. I am particularly interested in exploring the potential of satellite data to support such aims, as these provide incredible opportunities to gather key information in the remote and unaccessible parts of our world.
After my divorce shortly after the start of my first postdoc, I spent a long time prioritizing my career and exploring the world. Things changed when I met my husband, and personal life started to become important again. I'm now happy as a mother and a researcher, and this is all due to me working in a supportive environment and me being married to a supportive partner. The flexible nature of my job, the fact that my husband is a teacher and access to excellent and reliable childcare highly facilitate our day-to-day family life.
