Royal Society Enterprise Fund

The objective of the Royal Society Enterprise Fund (RSEF), which was launched in 2008, is for the Fund to become a financially successful contributor to early-stage company support and a role model for the translation of excellent science for commercial and social benefit. The Fund has been financed by generous donations to the Society that total approximately £7 million.

The Enterprise Fund has been supported by donations from major philanthropists, including Lord Sainsbury of Turville and the Stefanou Foundation. We remain grateful to all donors who contributed to the creation of the Fund. Find out more about supporting the Royal Society.

The Enterprise Fund is now managed for the Society by Amadeus Capital Partners Limited as the Amadeus RSEF LP, a limited partnership whose objectives are those of the original Fund.

The Royal Society’s Science and Industry programme promotes the value and importance of science by connecting academia, industry and government. Through the programme, the Royal Society seeks to support science-based companies, including those in which the Amadeus RSEF LP invests, by connecting them to leading scientists and business leaders at our industry and innovation events, and by highlighting achievements through our Success Stories programme
