ICSU: Review of the International Council of Scientific Unions

01 May 1996

The Royal Society is the UK adhering body to ICSU and has been so since ICSU was created in 1931. The Society welcomed the announcement by ICSU in October 1994 of an independent review to assess the mission, organisational structure and operational modes of ICSU, and produced this contribution to the initial phase of the review. The Society's Scientific Unions Committee (SUC) has prepared this submission, in response to the call for comment on the report of the ICSU.
