We recommend the topic 'Implementation of environmental policies' be the subject for the 27th report although we are also very supportive of the 'Water in the UK' proposal. For the 2006 special study, we recommend the topic Nuclear energy: framing the environmental debate. The other proposed subjects are also discussed, including 'Water in the UK', 'Assessing the environmental effects of novel materials and applications' and 'Noise and light pollution'.
RCEP: Proposals for the Royal Commission's 27th report

This paper was prepared in response to the Royal Commission on Environmental Pollution's invitation for comments on proposals for their 27th report and 2006 special study.
