The House of Lords set up the Committee on Soft Power and the UK’s Influence in May 2013 to examine and report on the use of soft power in furthering the UK’s global influence and interests. The Society responded to their consultation on Soft Power and the UK’s Influence in September 2013, this response builds on the 2010 report New frontiers in science diplomacy: Navigating the changing balance of power.
The Committee’s report Persuasion and Power in the Modern World was published in March 2014.
