The Royal Society has responded to the Takeover Panel Code Committee’s consultation on proposed amendments to the code to clarify how post-offer undertakings and intention statements should be understood. These changes were proposed in part in response to the takeover bid from Pfizer for AstraZeneca in May 2014 - read the President of the Royal Society's comments at the time.
