Royal Society Publishing Photography Competition

The Royal Society Publishing Photography Competition celebrates the power of photography in capturing scientific phenomena happening all around us, and the role great images play in making science accessible to a wide audience.

We invite scientists from across the world to send in their images in the categories of Astronomy, Behaviour, Earth Science and Climatology, Ecology and Environmental Science, and Micro-imaging. The winners of these categories will be narrowed down by our judges to our overall winner.

The entry period for this year's contest has concluded, and the winners will be announced in December 2023. Please monitor this page for additional information on how to take part in the Royal Society Photography Competition 2024.

The Royal Society Publishing Photography Competition is sponsored by the journals of the Royal Society. Visit our journals homepage to view the full portfolio and read our published research.
