This series of regional and national meetings aims to address the scientific and technical opportunities and challenges faced by the UK. At each location, leading experts from academia, research-intensive industries and government gather to share their perspectives on supporting R&D and explore the role of different places in driving innovation and prosperity across the UK. The meetings feature a range of workshops and round-table discussions on diverse topics in science and policy. The outcomes inform the work of the Society and have led to further national and regional engagement for expert groups and scientific meetings. These meetings are delivered in partnership with national and regional organisations such as local business leadership teams and learned societies.
