Creating connections is a series of regional and national meetings that address the scientific and technical opportunities and challenges faced by the UK.

Leading experts from academia, industry and government meet to share their perspectives on supporting R&D, as well as to explore the role of different places in driving innovation and prosperity, across the UK.

Creating connections meetings have been hosted across the UK, with the most recent meeting taking place in Scotland.

Each event features workshops and round-table discussions on diverse topics in science and policy. The events also feature an exhibition of Royal Society work where participants can discuss how we can provide support and share resources. These meetings have been delivered in partnership with the Knowledge Transfer Network, the North West Business Leadership Team, the Learned Society of Wales and the Royal Society of Edinburgh.

Explore research and innovation across the UK through our interactive map and read our briefings on R&D investment in the UK.
